Bespoke lighting manufacturer Dernier & Hamlyn, based at Barwell Business Park, is recruiting skilled metalwork fabricators to help it meet increasing client demand.

Successful applicants will need to be proficient in a range of manufacturing processes including turning, milling, welding and soldering.

Head of Production Mark Pye said: “Some of our team have worked for Dernier & Hamlyn for more than 30 years, while others have joined us since we moved to Barwell last year. Alongside the metalworking skills needed for people interested in joining our factory team, they need to be team players who are adaptable to changing schedules and workloads.”

Dernier & Hamlyn has an impressive design studio and factory where its team of skilled specialists create beautiful, unique light fittings that are installed in luxury hotels, restaurants and residences as well as heritage buildings.

Since its move to Barwell Business Park, new clients who visit are always impressed by the company’s services, which include a combination of very traditional techniques such as hand drawn designs as well as the latest 3D printing technology for producing prototypes.

Dernier & Hamlyn was recently shortlisted for a Brit List Award, which celebrate the leading interiors designers, architects, hoteliers and suppliers operating in Britain, in the best of British product design category for the bespoke lighting it manufactured for the new Nobu hotel in London.
