13 Oct BARWELL BUSINESS PARK WELCOMES LUXURY LIGHTING BRAND DERNIER & HAMLYN

Dernier & Hamlyn, renowned designer and manufacturer of luxury lighting, has received a warm welcome to Barwell.

Relocating from Croydon, the company will now be based at 82 Barwell Business Park, and new signs have appeared outside the unit to advertise their occupancy.

The 132-year-old company designs and manufactures lighting for luxury hotels and homes, commercial and historic buildings and superyachts. It also holds a Royal Warrant.

Earlier this year, Dernier & Hamlyn was acquired by NVC Lighting. Early stages of planning are underway to create the most diverse lighting supplier in the UK, with the ability to meet the needs of varied clients from one-off high-end installations to volume contract lighting.

Director of Sales for Dernier & Hamlyn Michael Mulhall says: “Our company was established in 1888 and we are very proud of this heritage. This move to premises more suited to our bespoke lighting company that will continue to produce the extremely high quality products that it’s renowned for, while introducing better ways of working that meet the needs of designers with investment in new technology is great for our staff and our clients. Barwell is a really accessible location and we look forward to welcoming clients to our new manufacturing and design facilities soon.”
