14 Jun Barwell businesses asked to support young people in their career choices

Chessington School is inviting businesses and employers to join its careers fair on Thursday, 18 July.

The event aimed at Year 9 students takes place at the school in Garrison Lane – just across the road from Barwell Business Park – between 10.30am and 1pm.

Businesses would speak to small groups of young people on a five-minute rotation basis between 11am and 12.30pm, with set-up time from 10.30am and a light lunch at 12.30pm for those wishing to stay.

Guests are also invited to give a more detailed and lengthy talk to Year 10 students about their business and career pathway, if they are comfortable doing so.

The aim of the careers fair is to raise students’ knowledge and understanding of different career routes whether it is apprenticeships or A level or graduate recruitment.
