The FREE Barwell Business Breakfast: Recruitment & Skills, in partnership with Kingston Chamber of Commerce, is taking place on Tuesday, 22 November.

Running from 8.30am to 10am at Unit 50, the networking breakfast will include information sharing on how businesses based in Kingston can continue to attract great employees as well as discussion around the skills needed for the borough’s future workforce.

Case study examples from business leaders on their recruitment challenges and successes will be presented. Guests will also hear thought-leading presentations on what employees are looking for from their employers, and details on both training opportunities and marketing avenues for 2023 recruitment.

There will also be the opportunity to meet businesses from Barwell Business Park, Chessington, and the wider Kingston borough community.

This event follows the successful sustainability-themed business breakfast hosted by the Chamber and business park earlier this year.

Ken Butcher, Asset Manager, Aviva Investors, said: “Barwell Business Park is pleased to partner with Kingston Chamber of Commerce for a second event in 2022.

“We are aware of how important it is for our occupiers to recruit the right people with the right skills and we hope this forum can help in that regard. We hope it will be productive conversation on how to address perceived skills gaps and also present opportunities to match locally-skilled people with local businesses.”
