BOB campaign for local traders this Christmas

Kingston Council’s “Backing Local Businesses” (BOB) campaign is showcasing independent shops and businesses across the borough throughout the festive season and beyond.

The Employment, Skills and Enterprise team is inviting nominations to the spotlighting programme so businesses can boost their visibility and encourage residents to shop local.

In Kingston town centre, there are many festivities taking place until early January.

Kingston Christmas Market runs until 2 January featuring stalls and daily live entertainment (gift stalls are only open until 24 December).

Curling can be enjoyed at the Alpine Village, in the grounds of All Saints Church, until 2 January, amongst snowy fir trees, ski lift seats and twinkling lights. There are two lanes available to book with a bar and food stalls nearby.

Also until January 2, children can enjoy stepping through the snow-capped trees of the Candy Cane Forest in Memorial Gardens, before taking a ride on the vintage carousel, swings and Christmas train.
