Business at Barwell stays buoyant despite a difficult year

Barwell Business Park completed 13 contracts last year, including eight new leases, two lease regears, two lease renewals and one rent review. With Marathon completing a lease for unit 81, demand for space at the Park has remained strong at the start of 2021.

Helping this progress was an expanded team responsible for looking after occupiers across the Park and a new refurbishment spec for returning units – which was well received by new occupiers and led to three pre-lets being secured ahead of completion of the work.

Colin Lawrence-Waterhouse, Asset manager, Aviva Investors/Barwell Business Park, said: “Last year was challenging for companies, so it is encouraging to see some businesses doing well and this being reflected in continued demand for units at the Park, despite those headwinds.

“It’s difficult to predict what will happen in 2021 but we hope the outlook is a more positive one, and which will allow the Park and its resident businesses to continue growing together throughout the year.”
