Station name signs at Chessington South station were over-written in hieroglyphics for the day.
Local bus stops, road signs and Chessington World of Adventures were all given the same treatment as part of an advertising campaign by the resort for a new ride coming in 2021.
A resort spokesperson said: “We have created 26 bespoke hieroglyphs for each letter of the alphabet, some of which we’ve used at Chessington South.”
Further hieroglyphics have been unveiled at Cleopatra’s Needle and Nile Street in North London with more to come to be deciphered to reveal the name of the new ride.
