Despite lockdown and social distancing, Barwell-based Fulham FC Foundation has supported thousands of people in need across south west London and Surrey.
The charitable arm of Fulham FC distributed more than 3,000 meals to those in need, made 1,400 befriending calls to vulnerable adults and carried out more than 150 hours of online activity.
Foundation CEO Mike McSweeney discussed the figures in his open letter announcing the Foundation’s ‘return to play’ sessions.
“Despite there being no recent face to face delivery, we have been very busy,” Mike said.
“We are really pleased that as lockdown eases, we can begin to return to some form of face to face delivery, and we are delighted to welcome you to our upcoming sessions.”
