Barwell Business Park is saying farewell to long-serving security guard, Alan Wilson, after two decades of service.
Alan started his Barwell career in 2001 with security contractor, Logistics International then made the change to Southern Security Group in 2003. As the security contractors changed names, Alan remained a permanent fixture. Due to his long service, Alan was probably the only person on site who had connections to the park’s original owners, Ransom & Luck.
Alan has sadly left G4S after a period of ill health but has said the following about his long-term career at Barwell: “I have had many good memories working with tenants, site owners and site management, assisting and helping with any questions or problems. I even found a brother and sister working on site who lived just up the road from me during the 1960s. I had a memorable winter when there was a water leak just by the site entrance and with Maureen spent almost four weeks continuously trying to keep the site entrance area free of ice.”
Colin Lawrence-Waterhouse, Asset Manager, Aviva Investors, said: “Alan has been a terrific, long-standing member of the team at Barwell. We thank him for his many years of loyal service and wish him all the very best for the future.”
