22 Sep High praise for Burlodge from the south of England’s biggest hospital
University Hospital Southampton’s Patient Catering Manager has praised Burlodge’s equipment for upholding the quality of the on-average 36,000 meals served each year at the hospital.
Tony Hadwick began using Burlodge in 2017 and oversees a fleet of breakfast trolleys and Multigens. Featuring Burlodge’s revolutionary dual-oven technology, the Multigen series lets food professionals rethermalize products of different densities and textures to a consistent heat, ensuring optimum food quality every time.
“We cater for every different type of ailment,” Tony said, pointing out that being such a large operation they must produce a variety of food options that can be delivered to several levels. “The standards that come out of those trolleys is fantastic.”
He added: “The customer service team is always very helpful, they are readily available.”
Earlier this month, Burlodge Group which produces advanced Meal Delivery Systems such as food trolleys, carts and trays for hospitals, homes schools and prisons, exhibited at the Healthcare Facilities Management conference at Birmingham’s National Conference Centre.
The event on 12 September is the only conference designed exclusively for soft-facilities management in healthcare.
Burlodge Group also sponsored the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) UK Festival which took place on 21 September. The event supports efforts to facilitate the safe consumption and enjoyment of food and drink by all persons with eating and drinking difficulties (dysphagia).
