20 Jan Marathon gets 2022 off to a sprinting start by hiring 40 new staff

Since moving to Barwell Business Park last January, Marathon Managed Services has quadrupled the size of its team – and is recruiting again.

After staff numbers rose from 26 to more than 100 in 2021, Marathon were seeking to recruit a further 40 employees this month.

With lockdown restrictions lifted, the company was able to hold a recruitment Open Day at its Barwell HQ earlier this month, for positions including Service Desk Analyst, Service Desk Team Leader, Service Delivery Manager, Project Manager and Security Officer.

David McConnell, CIO, said: “It’s a really exciting time to join Marathon, we’re looking for people to join us across all tiers of our service operation centre, working with our current customer base and future business wins as these come online this year.”

Marathon helps companies with IT transformation and security projects, through to fully out-sourced IT and Service Desk. They work with clients across a variety of sectors including live sporting events, law, public sector and Business Process Outsourcing organisations.
