This question is posed by On Target in the “employer resources” section of its website following a report by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development which showed that almost 40% of employers counteroffer when a key employee resigns.
On Target said: “Before you rush to counteroffer, it’s essential to think strategically. Counter offering might seem like the easy fix, but it can have long-term implications on team dynamics, your company’s culture, and even the individual’s commitment to your business.”
