Wheelfreedom has welcomed physiotherapist – and complex posture and seating specialist – Caroline to the team.

Caroline has worked in specialist seating since 2008, across several wheelchair services around London and in an independent practice, refining her clinical skills and building extensive experience in complex seating. She has treated people living with injuries, movement difficulties and long-term conditions such as chronic back pain, frozen shoulders, and hip and knee injuries.

24-hour posture management is a key focus of her practice, with healthy posture not limited to time spent in a wheelchair but supported day and night. Through this work, she has seen firsthand how the right seating solution can be transformative — not only physically, but also in terms of function, independence and emotional wellbeing.

Wheelfreedom said: “In her day-to-day role at Wheelfreedom, Caroline conducts detailed postural assessments for clients with complex seating needs. She listens closely to each person to understand them wholly, ensuring their lifestyle, clinical needs and personal goals shape their solution. From evaluating posture and mobility challenges to trialling specialist seating options, she taps into her expertise to create bespoke, clinically effective solutions that enhance function and quality of life.”

“I believe in the foundation of a thorough assessment,” Caroline said. “Only by taking the time to understand the whole person can we truly identify their needs and create the most effective, individualised solutions.”

Speaking of her decision to join Wheelfreedom, she added: “The company’s values and commitment to high-quality care deeply resonated with me, and I’m excited to bring my passion for posture, education, and specialist seating to a team dedicated to raising standards and improving the quality of life for the people they support.”
