16 Feb STERIS IMS’ new super decontamination centre prepares for launch

STERIS IMS will be soon be operational at Barwell Business Park – its largest UK facility – after months of preparatory works.

The company signed a lease for units 1 to 4, which span approximately 41,000 sq ft – last June, in one of 2020’s biggest occupancy agreements in south west London.

Merit Health Ltd led the major fit-out for the super decontamination centre, which will process 15 million medical instruments a year.

Sterilization services for Kingston Hospital and Epsom Hospital will be based at Barwell, and the new site will also provide opportunities for flexibility and expansion.

STERIS IMS said: “After months of hard work, our teams have made significant progress and we can’t wait to unveil it to you all.”
