STERIS IMS is offering a Healthcare Science Apprenticeship based in the borough as it prepares to move to its largest UK facility at Barwell Business Park.

The global innovator of medical devices and infection control solutions is currently advertising the opportunity for Kingston Hospital.

Sterilization services for Kingston Hospital will relocate to units 1 to 4 Barwell Business Park in early 2021. Steris will process 15 million medical instruments a year at Barwell.

The apprenticeship advertisement reads: “This role will involve working in a fast-paced environment, where quality and precision is vital. No experience is required, full training and support are provided in a programme to help staff to reach their full potential, learning a wide range of hospital instruments and working in different functional areas of the sterilisation process.”
